This course is designed for optometrists and other healthcare professionals, who've completed the level 1 Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and wish to further develop skills in detecting change in clinical status and decision-making in patients at risk of developing glaucoma.  

Moorfields Education: Medical retina level 2 (College of Optometrists Professional Higher Certificate in Medical Retina)

Applications for January 2024 are now open. Open to optometrists and other healthcare professionals who've completed the level 1, although other qualifications or experience may be accepted. Delegates undergoing this course will further develop skills in screening, diagnosing and managing a variety of medical retina conditions.

£1 million gift from patient-focused charity for new centre for advancing eye health

Friends of Moorfields Eye Hospital, the charity providing volunteer support and patient experience services at Moorfields Eye Hospital, has pledged £1 million to Moorfields Eye Charity towards a new centre for advancing eye health, opening in 2027.

AI breakthrough brings geographic atrophy treatment a step closer

The various professional regulatory bodies have mandated that registrants demonstrate an understanding of research, ethics and governance in order to apply research findings and inform best practice. Therefore, all staff working in health and social care are required to have an awareness of research as pertains to their practice. This session will explore how staff can incorporate research into their practice to make it business as usual.
