The International Opticians Association (IOA) has announced the winner of the Silmo IOA International Optician of the Year Award. This innovative award recognises the importance of the optician in the optical business and their role in the choice of optimum products for their clientele.
Thomas Truckenbrod awarded for his outstanding contribution to the optical profession
The International Opticians Association (IOA) has given Thomas Truckenbrod a special award recognising his outstanding contribution to the optical profession. The award was presented by IOA director of development Elaine Grisdale at the SILMO d’Or ceremony on Saturday 30 September in Paris.
Presidency changes hands at the International Opticians Association (IOA)
This year saw the baton of the presidency of the International Opticians Association (IOA) handed from Fiona Anderson to Donald Crichton BSc (Hons) FBDO.
