Friday 30 September 2022, saw Sight Sciences hold their second UK Masterclass for the OMNI Surgical System.

Delegates and faculty gathered at Vision Engineering in Woking for a mix of lectures, discussion and an immersive 3D dry-lab.

The OMNI is an implant-free MIGS device which is used for performing two angle-based MIGS procedures, viscocanaloplasty and trabeculotomy.

The event faculty was drawn from experienced users from across the UK who shared their experiences of OMNI and the benefits it brings for their glaucoma patients.

Delegates were able to spend time in Q&A with the speakers discussing real-world outcomes and patient selection before trying the handheld OMNI device for themselves in a dedicated dry-lab using state-of-the-art 3D DRV viewers from Vision Engineering.

The event was part of a series planned across the UK over the next year to allow glaucoma specialists to learn more about the OMNI device, which treats all three points of resistance in the conventional aqueous outflow pathway without leaving any implant in the eye.

One of the faculty at the event, Dan Lindfield said “The masterclass was an excellent interactive event. There was open and detailed discussion about trabecular meshwork, canal based surgery and how OMNI can enhance patient outcomes. Both Siene Ng and myself presented our data (to 2 years) and it was great to see colleagues trialling the devices in the immersive 3D dry lab”
