The latest generation excimer laser from Bausch + Lomb, indicated for refractive surgery and presbyopia treatment, will now include additional functionalities with the 1.30 software upgrade.

It is now possible to combine epithelial removal (PTK) and the correction of refractive error in an optimized one-step procedure with the latest software version of TECHNOLAS® TENEO 317 Model 2.

This new workflow combining treatments, called TransEpi PRK, requires no contact and no alcohol as required in conventional PRK for epithelial removal and provides ease of use in one single step, thus improving the surgeon workflow and reducing the intervention time123.

These improvements represent Bausch + Lomb’s continuing commitment to advancing surgical innovations in ophthalmology.
