The RCOphth 2023 Congress is just around the corner and to celebrate the occasion, we’re running another #AspireOphth competition! We’re happy to announce that Eye News is once again teaming up with author, Specialist Registrar and Honorary Lecturer in Ophthalmology, Sohaib Rufai, for a two-book giveaway! To introduce this exciting opportunity, a short introduction from Sohaib:

Published by Oxford University Press, MCQs for FRCOphth Part I (2023) is the one-stop study companion for doctors sitting the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Part 1 examination. Containing 450 multiple-choice questions, each accompanied by solutions, explanations and recommended reading, this high-yield resource is invaluable for any doctor wishing to specialise in the field of ophthalmology.

“Through this book project, I have made it my personal mission to help you pass your FRCOphth Part 1 exam.”

So, how do you enter the competition? The good news is anyone can enter and the submission window is now open, you just need to create a social media post that sums up what you aspire to do, be or achieve in ophthalmology. You can post a picture of yourself, of someone who inspires you, or just paint a picture with words. Make sure you follow Eye News, tag us in your posts and use the hashtag #AspireOphth so we can check your submission, and you’ll have a chance to win!

Two winners will be announced on Wednesday 24 May at the RCOphth Congress in Birmingham’s ICC – one will be chosen exclusively from Congress attendees and one from the wider ophthalmic community, UK and beyond. Both prizes will be signed by the author and either received in person at the event or posted via mail. The deadline to enter the competition is Tuesday 23 May at 5pm.

Remember to follow Eye News on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn and use the hashtag #AspireOphth in your caption(s).

Good luck!
