Recently named ‘Third Sector Charity of the Year 2018’, we are a rapidly growing charity, committed to moving further, faster to accelerate change for everyone affected by a brain tumour. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. We know that a cure can’t wait. By recruiting a team that ‘can’, we can and will find one sooner.

The Optical Engagement Manager will lead and develop our engagement programme with the optical industry; ensuring that as many opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists, along with those who service the industry, are brain tumour aware, better equipped to support those living with the consequences of a brain tumour and see themselves as stakeholders in our charity.

In this full time, 3 year fixed term role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference and deliver on our strategic priority to improve diagnosis times.  Ideally based in the South-East, but with an expectation for nationwide travel, including frequent visits to our Farnborough office.

With a professional qualification within the optical industry (full registration), alongside industry work experience, you’ll be a strategic thinker, with amazing communication skills, the ability to negotiate and influence, and have previous experience of delivering projects with professionals that create cultural, behavioural and working practice change.

If this is you, then we would love to hear from you!

In return we’d like to give you: salary c.£35,000 - £45,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, generous pension contribution*, Life Assurance cover*, Employee Assistance Programme and an amazing culture to work in!

Please email your CV and a supporting statement to careers@thebraintumourcharity.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
