Heidelberg Engineering and its wholly owned subsidiary, Medisoft Limited, have won a high-value contract with AP-HP (Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris) in France. As a result, the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) product known as mediSIGHT in the UK and HEIDELBERG EYE EXPLORER EMR internationally, will be implemented across 21 hospitals within the AP-HP group.
AP-HP is the largest hospital group in Europe, serving a total of 8.3 million patients yearly and is also the largest employer of the Paris region with over 100,000 employees.

The initial year will focus on planning and the implementation of the first of three pilot sites, with training to begin in May 2020. In years two to four, the remaining sites will have adopted HEIDELBERG EYE EXPLORER EMR, with the whole AP-HP 21 clinic group achieving paperless working through one central patient database by 2024.
