Haag-Streit UK is pleased to announce it will be running a competition on the Eyesi Surgical simulator at the 2022 Royal College of Ophthalmologists Annual Congress.

The competition will give contestants an opportunity to test their cataract and vitreoretinal skills on the Eyesi Surgical virtual reality simulator. To be entered into the competition, delegates will need to complete one of the navigation tasks on the gamification in either the cataract or the vitreoretinal courseware.

Competitors will be entered into a draw to win a daily prize and there will be no limit on the number of times each delegate can enter. Delegates should visit HS-UK on stand B at the congress for their chance to win.

Jacqui Kenyon, HS-UK Product Manager, said, “We are very excited to run the competition on the Eyesi Surgical simulator. The gamification on the courseware offers delegates the opportunity to compete with their peers in a challenge which is both fun and engaging. We look forward to welcoming attendees onto the stand to test their skills.”

The Eyesi Surgical is the industry’s leading high-end virtual reality simulator. Equipped with interfaces for both cataract and vitreoretinal surgery, it allows trainees to see the surgical field in stereo and high-resolution, while operating with life-like surgical instruments.

Haag-Streit UK is also is the UK distributor for the full range of diagnostic simulators, including the Eyesi Slit Lamp and the Eyesi Direct and Eyesi Indirect Ophthalmoscopes. The Eyesi Slit Lamp simulator will also be available for hands-on demonstrations on the HS-UK stand at the Congress.
