In February, Bausch + Lomb hosted Hi-Tech days, an educational event focused on premium refractive technologies. This meeting brought together international speakers to discuss a wide range of topics in Cataract, Corneal and Refractive surgery including FLACS, Premium IOLs, Astigmatism, Refractive surgery and Therapeutics as well as discussions around interesting and challenging cases.

The event was rich in scientific content combined with dynamic discussion and interactive attendee participation.

Bausch + Lomb were delighted to have two surgeons from the UK speak at the event. Mr Thomas Poole (Consultant Ophthalmologist, Frimley Park Hospital) chaired a session on Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS) and shared his experience of using FLACS technology in his hospital trust. In addition, Professor Harminder Dua (Professor of Ophthalmology, QMC Nottingham) moderated a session focused on the evolution of ocular surface therapeutics with speakers presenting cases on new therapeutic indications using femtosecond laser technology.

International Hi-tech days represents Bausch + Lomb’s continuing commitment to education and collaboration within the field of ophthalmology.
