The first meeting of The Scottish Ophthalmic Imaging Society will take place on 14 February 2020 at The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Approved for 6 CPD points from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and CET points applied for, the meeting aims to bring together ophthalmologists, optometrists, medical photographers, researchers, and all those with an interest in ophthalmic imaging.

The event will feature a range of expert speakers covering topics including recent developments in macular imaging, imaging in neuro-ophthalmology, teleophthalmology and artificial intelligence. There will also be an ‘OCT Live’ session where patients will have live imaging and discussion of their diagnoses by a panel of experts.

Confirmed speakers include Dawn Sim, Consultant Ophthalmologist and lead for teleophthalmology at Moorfields; Bal Dhillon, Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Edinburgh; and a special guest lecturer on stereoscopic imaging to be revealed on the day!

Further details and registration (£60) are available online at www.imagingscotland.com

Abstract submission and submissions for the SOIS imaging prize are now open. Shortlisted abstracts will be presented during a rapid fire research session and the winning entry and five runners up from the image competition will appear on the covers of six future issues of Eye News! We look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh.
