Optical Suppliers Association (OSA) member companies know how essential sustainability is and have already seen the importance of environmental responsibility – from looking at ways to cut waste to reducing our carbon footprint as manufacturers and suppliers.

To support this, OSA will be holding their first Sustainability Committee meeting on Friday 23 July.  The meeting will discuss such vital issues as producing an OSA member charter on how to behave sustainably, the proposed 2022 UK Plastics Tax and how to responsibly dispose of materials in lens and frame manufacture.

Stuart Burn, OSA Chairman, who will be chairing the meeting, notes: “This is a vital piece of work for all our members to get behind. We all have a duty to reduce the negative impacts we impose on our environment and give our generation and future generations a pathway to sustainability.”

All OSA members are welcome to attend and should contact mmacritchie@osa-uk.co.uk for future meetings.
