30 April 2024 | glaucoma, research, grants, awards, applications, opportunities, uk

Glaucoma UK accepts applications for the Open Call Research Award 2024, which offers up to £50,000 in funding for glaucoma-related research. This award invites both clinical and non-clinical researchers who aim to enhance our understanding of glaucoma, and improve outcomes for people living with the disease. The award welcomes applications from both established researchers and new investigators, including those from fields outside of vision research.

Visit glaucoma.uk/research to learn more and apply for this award. The deadline for applications is 25 June 2024.

The successful researchers will have the opportunity to pursue novel glaucoma research and make an impact in the prevention of glaucoma-related sight loss. Glaucoma UK encourages all interested researchers to apply and help make strides in understanding and combating glaucoma.

Joanne Creighton, Chief Executive of Glaucoma UK said, "Glaucoma UK is delighted to be able to support both established researchers and new investigators through this award. The award will offer a great opportunity for researchers to explore innovative discoveries and pursue novel ideas. We hope this award will also encourage and diversify the range of glaucoma-related research projects. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact that the successful projects will have on the field and well-being of those living with glaucoma.”
