It is with great sadness that the team at ZEISS announce the passing of Naheem Abbas, who died peacefully on Wednesday 6th May.
"He battled cancer like he lived, with strength, humility and strong faith.
"Naheem dedicated his entire career to Ophthalmology, beginning as an Orthoptist before moving to Birmingham Optical and ultimately joining ZEISS, where he spent more than 14 years specialising in ophthalmic diagnostics - initially in the Midlands area before moving to London.
"Naheem was a deeply valued member of the ZEISS Meditec team and the wider ophthalmic community. Passionate about his work, he built exceptionally strong relationships and was respected, admired, and loved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
"Our thoughts and condolences go to Naheem’s wife Mariam, his two young children, and family at this very difficult time."
