The Medical Retina team at Great Western NHS Hospital, Swindon will be running a first of its kind skills training workshop at RCOphth Annual Congress, Birmingham on 24 May ’23 to demonstrate a creative method of training nurse practitioners to administer intravitreal injections (IVT) safely & efficiently.

Great Western Hospital (GWH) is one of the leading Eye units in the country that has implemented this structured training program for more than 7 years with nurses contributing more than 85% to the total number of injections performed.

 

 

The workshop includes presentation on design benefits of Precivia®, 12 week nurse training programme, safety & efficiency data with financial benefits of using Precivia® followed by a hands on wet lab session thus making it ideal for those who are looking to set up/upgrade Nurse IVT service.

This course will be delivered by Med Ret Consultants at GWH, Mr N Shah & Mr Hani Hasan and their team.
