Corza Medical has announced the UK introduction of the Shimowake Spiral CTR Inserter (AE-4777), a reusable instrument designed for spiral capsular tension ring (CTR) placement in cataract procedures where zonular weakness may be present.
Zonular instability can add complexity to cataract surgery, particularly during the placement of a capsular tension ring within the capsular bag. Instruments designed to support controlled insertion techniques can play an important role in helping surgeons manage these challenging cases.
The Shimowake Spiral CTR Inserter is designed to facilitate spiral delivery of a CTR during insertion. The reusable instrument features a configuration intended to guide the ring into the capsular b:ag through a controlled spiral motion, supporting a structured approach to CTR placement.
