Centre for Sight, the UK’s leading trusted centre of excellence for advanced eye care, has launched a new Eye Health MOT service for people aged 40 and over, offering a detailed, consultant-led assessment designed to provide reassurance and detect early signs of eye disease before symptoms appear.

The launch comes amid growing public focus on eye health and vision standards for drivers, with many people questioning whether their sight is as strong as it should be and whether there may be underlying issues developing unnoticed.

The Eye Health MOT is not a DVLA eyesight test, but a proactive clinical evaluation using advanced diagnostic technology to identify early signs of conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular disease and corneal problems, supporting timely intervention and long-term eye health planning.

Mr Sheraz Daya, Founder and Medical Director at Centre for Sight, said: “Many people assume that if they can still read and drive, their eyes must be healthy but that isn’t always the case. Our Eye Health MOT is designed to give patients confidence and peace of mind, using some of the most advanced diagnostic testing available to detect early changes and guide the right next steps. It’s about helping people stay in control of their eye health, rather than waiting for problems to develop.”
