Mainline Instruments has launched the TowardPi YAlkaid 250K, the world's first 250kHz full-range, ultra-widefield swept-source OCT/OCTA platform. Sitting alongside the existing YAlkaid 100K and BMizar 400K, it combines ultra-widefield single-capture retinal imaging with high-resolution anterior and posterior segment assessment in one instrument.
The platform captures up to 30mm (150°) posterior and 24mm anterior scan width without stitching, with 12mm Full-Range scan depth for both segments in a single B-scan. Its 1060nm wavelength improves penetration through media opacities, and AI-assisted segmentation supports quantification across all imaging slabs.
Designed to serve retina, glaucoma, anterior segment and refractive/cataract workflows from one device, the YAlkaid 250K is available now in the UK and Ireland through Mainline Instruments.
