Corza Medical has launched a dedicated CTAK (Corneal Tissue Addition Keratoplasty) instrument set, developed in partnership with CorneaGen, to support surgeons performing this approach to keratoconus treatment. CTAK is an intrastromal lamellar keratoplasty procedure using preserved donor corneal tissue, custom shaped via femtosecond laser based on individual patient tomography.

The procedure is designed to support the management of keratoconus using customised donor tissue and a structured surgical approach. The purpose-built Katena instrument set has been designed to support each stage of the procedure, from initial marking and tissue dissection through to inlay placement and manipulation. Developed alongside CTAK innovators including Dr. Peter Hersh, Dr. Steven Greenstein and Dr. John Gelles, the set reflects the continued evolution of corneal surgical techniques and instrumentation.
