Centre for Sight is celebrating three decades at the forefront of ophthalmology with a landmark conference set to bring together some of the world’s leading eye care specialists. Titled “30 Years of Vision: Crafting the Next Decade,” the one-day, invitation-led event will take place on 5 June 2026 at the elegant Alexander House Hotel.

Founded in 1996 by renowned consultant ophthalmic surgeon Sheraz M. Daya, Centre for Sight has built a reputation as a pioneer in refractive and cataract surgery, combining clinical innovation with a patient-first approach. Now, as it marks its 30th anniversary, the organisation is convening global experts to reflect on the evolution of vision care and explore what lies ahead.
The conference programme will feature keynote reflections, expert panels and peer-led discussions examining advances in refractive surgery, the growing role of artificial intelligence, and shifting patient expectations. Sessions such as “Technologies That Influence Change” and “Influences Over the Next 10 Years” will spotlight innovations shaping clinical practice, while the “Ophthalpreneurs” panel will delve into the entrepreneurial side of modern ophthalmology.

Internationally recognised speakers include Arthur Cummings, Erik Mertens, Amanda Carones and Michael Mrochen, alongside a distinguished line-up of clinicians and industry leaders.
Sheraz M. Daya, medical director and founder of Centre for Sight, said: “We feel very fortunate and privileged to celebrate 30 years of practice… We have planned this conference for the benefit of the next generation of ophthalmologists… and predict the major influences over the next 10 years.”
