This year ECLSO will be hosting their 49th scientific congress from the from 2-3 September in Paris.
The society is affiliated to MCLOSA, the UK-based ocular surface society, and the European dry eye society EUDES, and aims to promote continuous education and information for eye specialists interested in ocular surface disease and contact lenses.
The key symposia include an update on infectious keratitis and challenges in the management of ocular surface disease in general. There will also be a session designated to myopia management, which will cover myopia control and progression, and myopia correction and management. This will include contact lens management and the use of low-dose atropine.
The keynote lecture will be delivered by James Wolffsohn from Acton University in Birmingham, and will elaborate on the White Papers of the International Myopia Institute. The Kersley lecture is entitled “Stain without Pain - Current Management of Neurotrophic Keratitis” and will be given by Professor Ebru Toker from Morgantown, USA.
