To mark the third year of the National Suicide Memorial Day for Health and Care Workers (NSMD) , NHS Practitioner Health will launch an online memorial wall on the 17th of September to honour and celebrate the lives of health and care workers who have died by suicide. Through sharing memories, photographs, and tributes, we hope to celebrate their lives, the impact they had they had on others, and their service to health and care.

We invite you to raise awareness of this memorial wall, which we believe to be the first of its kind, in order to highlight the creation of a permanent space to honour the lives of health and care workers we have lost.
This memorial wall is also a poignant reminder of the ongoing mental health crisis faced by the health and care workforce. Raising awareness of this project can be used as an opportunity to help us advocate for the improvement of workforce wellbeing within healthcare. Together, we can help to ensure that no more lives are lost to suicide.
Practitioner Health Medical Director will be announcing the launch of the memorial wall at an event to mark the third anniversary of NSMD. This event, which will be co-hosted by Practitioner Health, Doctors in Distress, and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, will take place at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, on the 17th of September.
