The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) has announced the full programme for the SEE Summit, which takes place on 9 October 7pm–9pm online. 

The programme is as follows:

  • 7.05pm Sustainable eyecare in the NHS. Dr Peter Davey, NHS Chief Sustainability Officer’s clinical fellow 2022–2023
  • 7.20pm Procurement in practice – how one large group is buying more sustainably. Dr Angela Smith, ASDA Opticians
  • 7.35pm Energy and estates – how to become more sustainable in practice. Dr Matt Sawyer, SEE Sustainability
  • 7.50pm Sustainability for LOCs. Millie Fellows FBDO
  • 8.05pm Waste in practice – how optical practices can reuse, reduce and recycle. Andrew Clark BSc (Hons), MSc, AIEMA, Practice Building
  • 8.20pm What optical practices can learn about sustainability from across primary care. Dr Matt Sawyer, SEE Sustainability
  • 8.35pm Questions to speakers
  • 9.00pm CLOSE

ABDO sustainability lead Antonia Chitty says: "We have brought together an outstanding panel of experts for the SEE Summit.
