The first BCLA webinar of 2024 will look at using axial length measurement as a guide for decision making around myopia management.

With myopia on the rise around the globe and myopia management now playing a big part of the day-to-day activities in many practices, the webinar will help boost delegates knowledge of myopia and increase confidence when assessing patients.

Delivered by Karin van Hees and Daisy Laan, the interactive session will give guidance on when eyecare professionals should start treatment and give indications as to when you can claim success and when you should stop.

Delegates will learn how to use axial length and progression as a guide in decision making and the hosts will provide tips on how to manage your patients without axial length data. The session will also focus on patient communication, education and how to choose the best treatment for your patients.

The webinar, entitled ‘Myopia in practice – evidence-based decision making using axial length growth charts’ and sponsored by Topcon Healthcare, will be held from 7pm on Wednesday, 27 February.
