This course is designed to provide senior ophthalmology trainees and consultant ophthalmologists with an introduction to minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). The programme will offer hands-on experience with a range of MIGS devices currently available in he UK, focusing on the surgical steps, indications, and intraoperative considerations associated with each procedure. The course will begin with short introductory lectures before delegates rotate through a series of structured practical sessions, supervised by leading UK glaucoma surgeons. This format allows delegates to refine microsurgical skills and gain confidence performing MIGS techniques within a controlled training environment. Delegates will benefit from practical exposure to several MIGS devices, gaining a comprehensive understanding of their mechanisms of action, surgical principles, and application within glaucoma management pathways. The course is open to ST7 trainees, Clinical Fellows and consultant ophthalmologists with an interest in glaucoma surgery.
