"As Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society I am pleased to invite you to the 2026 ANZGS Congress which will be held in Sydney from 13 – 15 February 2026.

The 2025 ANZGS Congress was held in Perth with over 150 in-person attendees that greatly valued the program content, networking opportunities, and learning new approaches to clinical challenges. The conference dinner with telescope session at King’s Park was a highlight and we aim to emulate these wonderful experiences while in Sydney.

The congress will include the usual emphasis on high quality clinical case studies but we have again expanded the days of the congress to include a broader range of glaucoma science through both keynote presentations and ample opportunities for submitted papers.

We are thrilled to confirm our keynote speakers in the clinical field will be:
1. Professor Miriam Kolko from the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark as the prestigious Lowe Lecturer
2. Associate Professor Ashish Agar, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales Hospital UNSW Sydney as Gillies Lecturer

Our broadened scope on glaucoma science will include keynote address by Thomas V Johnson, MD, PhD; Shelly & Allan Holt Rising Professor of Ophthalmology from Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, USA. The ACB Molteno Off-Piste Lecture has now been confirmed as Graeme Spencer, Education & Science Principal at HDR.

We are very grateful to our convenors, Dr David Manning, A/Prof Andrew White and Dr Anne Lee for developing the Congress. We extend our appreciation to Concept Event Management, the organisers of our last four Congresses, for their adept management and assistance in delivering what we anticipate will be another outstanding and engaging meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to our 34th ANZGS Congress. Please put the dates of 13 – 15 February 2026 in your calendar now!"

Prof Keith Martin

Chair, ANZGS
