Glaukos is delighted to announce availability in the UK of iStent inject® W – a development of the trabecular micro-bypass system. The iStent inject® design has evolved. Featuring a wide flange at its base, the new precision-engineered iStent inject W Trabecular Micro-BypassSystem is designed to optimise stent visualisation and placement, enhance procedural predictability, and increase confidence.
There is increasingly broad clinical recognition that glaucoma is a surgical disease where targeted intervention can help restore physiological outflow. iStent inject W delivers two preloaded trabecular micro-bypass stents with a single entry. Built on proven Glaukos trabecular micro-bypass technology, iStent inject W is designed to reduce IOP by bypassing the primary source of resistance to improve aqueous outflow through the conventional pathway. iStent inject W represents the next generation of Glaukos trabecular microbypass technology:
- Re-establishes physiological outflow [1]
- Proven to safely and effectively reduce IOP [1]
- Consistent, predictable procedure with next generation istent and delivery system design [2]
- Can reduce or eliminate drug burden
- Indicated for patients undergoing stand along glaucoma surgery or combination glaucoma and cataract surgery.
